Build your own preflop solution
Set the stacks, the open size and the structure your game uses, then run the solve on your machine.
You can configure and run a preflop solve for a game no pack covers.

Before you start
The builder needs no pack and no solution already loaded. It builds a strategy from a game definition you set yourself, then solves it on your device.
Set up the game
- Open Build.
- Set the player count. It runs from 2 to 6 seats, covering everything short of a full ring game.
- Set each seat’s stack in big blinds. The per-seat editor grows or shrinks with the count, so every seat gets its own field, and a warning appears once the stack-to-pot ratio climbs past 100.
- Add a straddle if the game plays one. A single straddle posts 2bb from the seat under the gun, the way a live one does; double it for a double straddle if that’s the field’s habit.
- Set the open size from the sizing menu. 3x is one of the ready presets alongside 2x and 2.5x; add every size your table actually sees, and the solver trains the whole menu together.

Paint the ranges
- Open the range editor. Two grids sit side by side, one for the in-position seat and one for out of position.
- Pick a brush weight for the range you are painting.
- Click or drag across the cells that belong in that range, the same brush mechanic Study uses.

- Drag the top-N slider instead, if a range by strength suits the spot better than painting it by hand. Move it and the top slice of hands by raw strength fills in on its own.
- Click the swap control to exchange the two ranges, useful when both seats end up playing close to the same range from different positions.
Run it
- Click Solve once the setup and the ranges are ready. The builder runs the same solver every pack was built with, live on your device.
- Watch the convergence chart while it runs. It plots exploitability in mbb per game against the iteration count, with a shaded band around the line for the estimate’s own uncertainty at each checkpoint.
- Read the finished grid once the chart reports Solved. It opens the same way any spot does in Study: a 13 by 13 grid and an action ladder, ready to read cell by cell.
- Type a name for the solve.
- Click Save draft. The name also labels the completed solve, so it sits in Completed solves under a name you chose instead of a raw ID the next time you open Build.
Read the result
A configured game becomes a real strategy the moment the solve finishes, built from the exact stacks, straddle and sizing menu you set for a table no pack happened to cover. The builder solves preflop. It does not take a postflop starting street; deal into a flop, turn or river from Study instead, where picking the cards is what starts that exact board’s own solve, all the way through the river.
The shaded band around the convergence line is a real uncertainty estimate, tightening around the mean as more deals get sampled. A band narrowed to almost nothing by the time the line stops means the mix has settled. A band still wide when you stop watching means more iterations would still move it, the same way a thin sample moves a stat in GTO Reports.
